Our Story
A Club Built for Croydon
Croydon City FC was founded on one simple idea, to nurture the community of Croydon. We’re here to give young adults a space to train, express themselves and find support, on and off the pitch. Yes, we’re a football club with big ambitions, but we’re also a space for people to come together, build relationships and take care of their mental health.
Community
To create a safe, welcoming home for local players and supporters, a club that belongs to the community, where young people can express themselves, build friendships, and feel part of something bigger through regular training, matches, and mentorship.
Development
To provide a clear pathway for players to improve and progress, offering high-quality coaching, competitive opportunities, and the support needed to help local talent fulfil their potential both on and off the pitch.
Success
To progress from Sunday League to a competitive Saturday league club within 5 years, establishing a pathway for players to step up to semi-professional football while building a loyal following of supporters from the Croydon community.
Wellbeing
To deliver dedicated mental health workshops and mentorship programmes from year one — supporting young men with access to positive role models, mental health resources and life skills training.
